Planck Dynamics Launches to Give Frontline Units a Decisive Edge

NUNC Capital acquires majority stake in Delft-based defense technology company

DELFT, 16 June 2026 - Planck Dynamics, a Netherlands-based defense technology company, today announced its founding. The company is building RAPTR, a rugged tactical edge computing platform that gives frontline units split-second AI at the point where life-and-death decisions are made.  Whether computing inside the vehicle or pack-mounted with the unit, RAPTR is built around the operator.

For immediate release

In today's operational environment, the decisive edge is no longer firepower alone, it is the ability to turn information into action, faster and more reliably than the other side: who can use data best? That decision is made at the tip of the spear, in microseconds, often beyond the reach of the network. Adversaries are now using AI to speed up their own decisions, which means the unit has to decide faster still. Yet the AI these operators carry into the field today holds them back: GPU-based systems that are too slow, run too hot, and draw too much power.   AI at the edge should create increased survivability and asymmetrical advantages through real-time, in-depth insights.

First product/solution: RAPTR

Planck Dynamics was founded to change that. RAPTR (Rapid Action Platform for Theater Resolution) delivers the equivalent of roughly 10,000 neural-network nodes at microsecond latency as part of a compact, ruggedized system, at a fraction of the heat, power, and signature of a GPU edge box. It runs where other tactical AI cannot, keeps a unit's data securely at its fingertips, and drops into the systems and protocols operators already use. Every answer carries uncertainty-aware confidence and keeps the human in, on, or out of the loop by choice, so the system amplifies an operator's training and instinct rather than overriding their judgement. The result is a hyper-enabled operator and a sustained, asymmetric advantage for units operating at the tactical edge.

The technology these operators carry today is too slow, too hot, or too bulky, and it asks them to send their data somewhere they cannot protect it. We built RAPTR to give them the upper hand: split-second insight, computed on the edge, amplifying their training and instinct instead of replacing their judgement. That is what a real asymmetric advantage looks like at the tip of the spear.

Professor Nathan Eskue, Founder of Planck Dynamics

Nathan brings two decades across NASA, defense, research, and technology to the company, including 70 international conference talks, four prior startups, and two books on AI. Planck Dynamics is built inside TU Delft's House of Quantum, at the center of Europe's applied quantum engineering capacity. The company is backed by NUNC Capital, a private investment firm focused on building and connecting effective technology with defense operators.

Frontline units are being asked to decide faster than ever, often with no link back to a data centre. Planck Dynamics puts a decisive advantage directly in their hands, computed at the edge and built around the operator. As majority shareholder since inception, NUNC Capital has provided Nathan and his team with more than financial backing, including structured access to defense networks, validation support, and initial market traction. This is where the real work is now happening: not at the drawing board, and not yet i the field, but in the testing and proving ground between concept and operational reality.

Planck Dynamics is targeting a TRL-6 demonstrator of RAPTR in 2026, with the Netherlands as its first market and expansion across NATO allies to follow.

About Planck Dynamics

Planck Dynamics is a Netherlands-based defense technology company that puts split-second, trustworthy AI in the hands of the units operating at the tactical edge. Its platform, RAPTR (Rapid Action Platform for Theater Resolution), brings together edge data governance, a certified AI runtime, and quantum-inspired photonic compute in a single ruggedized platform for mounted land forces, special forces, border protection, and tactical intelligence units. RAPTR runs where other tactical AI cannot, keeps a unit's data at its fingertips, and amplifies the operator's judgement to create a sustained, asymmetric advantage. The company is built inside TU Delft's House of Quantum and is backed by NUNC Capital.

About NUNC Capital

NUNC Capital is a Netherlands-based investment firm founded in 2013 that builds and scales defense technology companies supporting NATO and allied forces. The firm focuses on critical domains including advanced materials, artificial intelligence, electronic warfare, new energy, quantum technologies, unmanned systems, and mission-critical software. NUNC combines capital with deep defense market expertise, an international network, and access to key stakeholders across government and industry. It works closely with early-stage companies to validate technologies, secure initial deployment opportunities, and accelerate operational and commercial traction. Through this approach, NUNC develops and scales companies that deliver practical, mission-relevant capabilities to those operating on the front lines.
